Sky Stadium is the main stadium in Wellington, New Zealand, formerly called as WestpacTrust Stadium and Westpac Stadium. Because of its shape, it is commonly known as The Cake-Tin across New Zealand, although it is often referred to as a stadium by locals. The Stadium's total seating capacity is 34,500.
The stadium is a multifunctional facility, and it is used for many sporting events. It is the home ground of the Hurricanes Super Rugby team and Wellington Lions Mitre 10 Cup rugby team. It hosted the Wellington Rugby Sevens, which is part of the annual National Rugby Sevens World Series. Sky Stadium is often used as the home stadium of the All Blacks rugby games.
Sky Stadium is a Wellington Phoenix soccer team home ground, and Phoenix fans called as the "Ring of Fire”. It is also the main home of the New Zealand national football team, especially the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Bahrain.
